Tennant continues to develop more environmentally friendly products – from detergents and floor coatings, to proprietary technologies that make more efficient use of clean water and consequently reduce effluents released into the waste stream. Further proof of our Environmental Stewardship commitment can be found in the growing number of third-party “green” certifications that many of our machines, detergents and floor coatings have earned.

• ReadySpace® creates cleaner, healthier environments by permitting more frequent cleanings of carpeted areas, while using less water, thus reducing odors, allergens, mold and waste water.
  
  
• FaST™ foam scrubbing technology uses 70 percent less water and 90 percent less detergent, which creates less waste while improving floor traction.
  
  
• Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) [link to glossary] improvement is available on Tennant machines with CRI Green Label approval granted by the Carpet and Rug Institute.
  
  
• Slip-resistant coatings improve safety by giving hard-floor surfaces better traction, even under wet conditions.
  
  
• Eco-Advantage™ coatings encompass Tennant’s safest and most VOC-compliant coatings that are virtually odor free and use less solvent for less evaporation and potential contamination.
  
  
• Engine emissions on Tennant machines have dropped more than 90 percent since 2000 with the implementation of state-of-the-art technology that meets the stringent emission requirements of the Environmental Protection Agency, California Air Resource Board (CARB) and European Community.
